Year of Projects: Crochet Master Class – Next steps
(This post is part of my Year of Projects: Crochet Master Class series. For previous posts in this series, click here.)
Like many others participating in Year of Projects, I’ve come to the point in the year where holiday crafting has taken over and I have no updates related to working my way through Crochet Master Class: Lessons and Projects from Today’s Top Crocheters. Rather than post an update on my holiday crafting or design deadlines, I thought I’d try a poll to see what chapter in the book I should next explore (once the holiday projects are finished and design deadlines are met).

I voted!
I decided to tell you all about my non-YOP stuff this week, as I mine has definitely gone out of the window! Hopefully somewhere in the next few weeks I may just do something on my list!
Popped in for YOP, hope you’ll get back in the swing soon.
Thanks Sandy and Faith! It is tough to stay on track this time of year. I guess that is why so many people included holiday gifts on their YOP lists.
I’ve cast my vote and will be interested to hear what you decide to do. I’m running late with my YoP update – must get on to that now. Have a good week.
I luckily worked a couple of holiday projects into my yop otherwise I would be the same as you and have nothing to show for the last couple of weeks. I voted for the Irish Crochet, mainly because I’m Irish lol. Looking forward to seeing what you do start.
Thanks, Ruth! I haven’t done much Irish crochet, but I love the flowers so I’m looking forward to it.
I started the double-ended blanket (before running out of yarn and of course they no longer make that colour!).
In our group on Ravelry, we were working through the book and a few people made the tassels. Just a word of warning – don’t use pale pink. It looks kind of phallic!
Hahaha, thanks for the warning Simone!
I’m quite interested in wire crochet and bead crochet – so many gorgeous necklaces and bracelets!
Thanks Minding My Own Stitches! I did pick up some wire when I was working at Michaels (after consulting with the jewelry instructor!).
I voted for double ended. (don’t mind telling you because AFTER the holidays, I might even jump on board and join you in learning some double-ended. I already have some patterns and hooks. Of course, there are plenty of other things I need to learn, too. But that (and entrelac… and a few million other things) might interest me.
I love double ended Keri, and it is perfect for winter weather. Let’s see how the vote goes though…
.
I cast my vote and can’t wait to find out what you do next!
Yay, thanks Evelyn!
Well, I have no idea. But, I love seeing your work. I hope you have fun with whatever you pick.
Thanks Keri! (Ok, now this is confusing, so should I say Thanks Keri from WhenDidIBecomeAKnitter?)
I voted for Entrelac Crochet b/c I saw a pattern in a Knit Picks catalog that I tore out b/c it looked so cool and neat.
You may just have tipped entrelac into the lead, Kepanie. Thanks for voting!
