Hibernation

Posted by Underground Crafter on January 4, 2012 | Short Link

I’ve known that this moment would come for a while.

On Sunday night, I put down the Double Irish Chain granny square blanket I’ve been making for my sister in the colors of the New Orleans Saints.

Two "rows" of blocks on the back of a bench in Riverside Park on Sunday afternoon.

I’m still reading The City and the Stars and the Sands of Mars by Arthur C. Clarke (as of last night, I’m at the 36% mark), but the blanket is now hibernating because I have more pressing deadlines – for paid designs – approaching.

My progress on the blanket is shown in the "grayed out" areas.

Here’s a sneak peak at my current project.

It’s the always yummy Spud & Chloe Sweater in 7508 Pollen.  And, yes, those are yarn bobbins.  A woman has to have a little mystery, so that’s all I’ll say for now.

Visit Tami’s Amis for more WIP Wednesday posts and Small Things for more Yarn Along projects with books.
