Giveaways: Quick & Simple Crochet Booklets
F+W Media was kind enough to provide two contributor copies of each Quick & Simple pattern booklet that I had a pattern published in, so I’m hosting giveaways for the extra copies!
I usually share a book review with my giveaways, but I didn’t dare review these booklets because, ya know, it would be hard to be unbiased about my own pattern
.
Quick and Simple Crochet Hats: 8 Designs from Up-and-Coming Designers! includes my Twisted Cable Hat, the Turnbuckle Cap and Cardinal Hat by Barb Mastre-Stanford, the Slouchy Pompom Hat and the Fair Isle Hat by Anastasia Popova, and the Side Button Hat by Jennifer J. Cirka, along with patterns by Melissa Armstrong and Ava Lynne Greene.
Quick and Simple Crochet Scarves: 9 Designs from Up-and-Coming Designers! includes my Wide Ripple Scarf and the Rustically Elegant Shoulder Warmer by Denise from Voie de Vie, along with patterns by Tanis Galik, Melissa Armstrong, and Anastasia Popova.
Any of these would make great “for me” projects in January once the flurry of holiday gift knitting is over.

Hello! I am living with bipolar disorder and crochet is my therapy. I would love to have a copy of Quick and Simple Crochet Hats for no other reason than I’ve been on a major hat kick
I like making hats because they go relatively fast and because they can be made so many different ways it keeps my interest going. I would love to have a box full made by the end of 2013 to donate to the needy to help keep them warm. I have liked you on FB and shared the contest. I liked you and shared on Twitter. I am also a member of your Ravelry Group. Thank you for this opportunity!
Hi! I both knit & crochet. I am a beginner who started learning through internet videos on you tube before discovering Crafsty.com. Since July 2012, I’ve learned the basic stitches. I’ve learned to knit hats & I love them. I have yet to crochet a hat. I’ve never knit or crocheted a scarf, I’ve knit 1/2 of one. LOL. I don’t have the patience to wait that long. I love that hats can knit up a lot faster once I figure-out how to make the first one. I think crocheting one will work out for me the same way, learn one way & I can churn out a batch of them. I love to crochet flowers other embellishments for hats! I’m fascinated how a bunch of yarn turns into pretty things. I sold 4 headbands to friends in October for their High School’s Spirit week & they loved them! Same blue & yellow & each one had a unique embellishment. I love that I can sit & relax & still be “doing something” when I knit & crochet.
I woul love scarves one!!
Hi Marie, I’m already a group member on Ravelry, have liked your fb page and I’m now following you on twitter, I’d love to win the hats, I finally decided this winter that I don’t look as daft in a hat as I was convinced I did, and I’ve fallen in love with the side button hat on the book cover
)
Merry Christmas to everyone! I both knit and crochet as well. The hats would be a great undertaking for myself. But on the other hand, I would also like to create some toasty shoulder warming scarves too! LOL For this entry I will stick with the hats as I have a new winter jacket that is a totally new colour for me so I would like to make some hats that compliment it for the cold Canadian winter ahead. Good luck everyone!
I love to crochet hats and scarves but I would prefer to win the scarves book. One can never have enough pretty scarves.
While I like to crochet both hats and scarves, I love the scarf on the cover, so that’s the one I’d prefer if I were to win.
Thanks for having this giveaway.
I would love to win the Quick and Simple Crochet Scarves book! I love to crochet scarves because you can get into a rhythm and choose how long you want it to be and get them done quick!
I would like to win Crochet scarves! I love to crochet
I would love to win the Crochet Hats book for a dear friend.
The Hat book looks fantastic! I actually like to make both hats and scarves but I really need some hats for myself!
I love to make hats so the Crochet Hats is the one for me.
I’d love to win either, but would probably be more likely to use the scarves book. Thanks for the giveaway, and enjoy the rest of your holidays.
I love both your book, I like your page on facebook and shared the link…now I go to Raverly to sign in your group.Love, Tiz
I would love the scarf book. Ive been trying different patterns and I think id be better off with a easier pattern. Your book looks like its chock full of patterns that I can do! I Have already liked you on facebook and have been a member of your raverly for some time now. thank you!
tammy~
I just learned to crochet (as in, this past week!)–I’d like to win the scarf book because right now, scarves are much less intimidating than hats!
Also, liked you on fb, followed and retweeted you on Twitter (@mitoticspindle), and joined your Rav group as well!
Hi, what nice books! If I win I’d prefer the scarf book, but I’d be happy with either one, thank you!
I love the Crochet Hats book… Personally, I like to make hats, because there is so much variation that can happen with just a little change (such as yarn or hook size)
I’d love to win the hats book. I love the look of crochet hats! I think it would be a great way to increase my crochet skills, too.
You could offer these for review on bookpleasures.com, and that would get you a lot of publicity. I would suggest offering both as a set for one review, because the reviews are 400 words, not shorties. Over 750 unique visitors to bookpleasures each week. The review would also be posted on facebook and twitter for additional publicity. Just an idea. I am one of 42 reviewers for bookpleasures.
Thanks for the tips, Carolyn. I’m not the publisher of these books, and I plan to keep my contributor copy, so I don’t have another set to giveaway. But thanks for sharing the site with me!
I would love to win Quick & Simple Crochet Scarves, because both my two granddaughters and I would use it. I would also post the on my facebook page. I have friends who crochet, so they would be interested in the book.
I never willingly wear hats, but scarves wear with joy, so easy choice, the scarve one.
I would prefer the scarves book, because I love to wear scarves!
Thanks for the chance to win
I would love to win the hats. I love to make and wear hats! I also love making them for friends and family
.
Thanks for the chance to win!
I’d like to get the hat book. I have only crocheted two hats so far (one in school 15+ years ago) and I’ve been planning to start a new hat project when the spring yarns arrive to local stores in the end of January.
I would like to win Crochet Scarves, because you can never have too many scarves!
I would be happy to win the hat book, but the scarf one looks good too!!!
I am in your Rav. group as Jcarter462
I would love to win the Scarves booklet because, as a beginner crochet artiste
, scarves are easier than hats (I think). Also, I like to crochet gifts for people and some people don’t like to wear hats, but everyone likes scarves!
i would love EITHER book! for christmas, i made ppl boths scarves AND hats–equally! i lvoe them both, but i *only* crochet. no knitting!
I would love the Scarves book please, if I was lucky enough to win, really like crochet these days!
I taught myself to crochet as a form of release. I have a very chaotic life during the day as my son has Austism or rather Autusm has my son. So, when the kids go to bed (I have 3) I like nothing better, than a large glass of cool white wine, my favourite programme and to lose myself in a crochet pattern. I like to crochet hats as they drown out the noise lol and wrap me up in the comfort I need.
I have joined your group on Ravelry and liked on facebook.
