Crochet Hook Review and Giveaway: The Crochet Dude Ergonomic Hooks by Boye
Every Sunday during National Crochet Month 2013, I’ll be reviewing crochet hooks. Today’s post features the Crochet Dude ergonomic hooks, along with a giveaway for 6 hooks, courtesy of the Crochet Dude by Boye.
Last summer, I was the happy winner of a giant box of crochet fun through a giveaway on Robyn Chachula‘s blog. One of the many goodies tucked away into this prize package was a Crochet Dude ergonomic aluminum crochet hook.
I’ve always been a huge fan of Boye hooks – I have a collection of sizes B through P in my hook drawer, and I even have several sizes of steel Boye hooks for cotton thread. I prefer not to use an inline crochet hook, and so naturally Boye became my “go to” brand over the years.
But as crochet has become a bigger and bigger part of my life – and especially when I’m crocheting on a deadline – I’ve found that a solid aluminum hook can put too much stress on my hands. In the last 18 months or so, when I start a crochet project I usually reach for a comfort hook.
After using Boye hooks regularly for over 20 years, I know readily what size hook to use with different yarns and can be pretty consistent about my gauge. This familiarity was what excited me about the Crochet Dude ergonomic crochet hooks.
Each Crochet Dude ergonomic hook features the familiar Boye point and throat with a molded, soft handle covering most of the hook’s shaft. The handle is squared towards the middle, has a flattened thumb rest, and then tapers down at the end. Each size comes with a different color handle and the size in etched on the handle in both US letter size and millimeters. These features allow you to quickly pick up the right size if you have a full set.
The Crochet Dude ergonomic crochet hooks provide cushioning and comfort while allowing me to use my preferred type of point and a tapered throat. It’s one of the most affordable comfort hooks on the market. (The suggested retail price is $5.99 per hook.)
Like most comfort hooks, the shaft of the hook is mostly covered by the soft handle, so the Crochet Dude ergonomic hook isn’t ideal if you are doing certain dimensional stitches (like bullions or puff stitches) where you may need more space to keep multiple loops on the hook, or where a tapered shaft might make it easier to work the stitch.
My overall review: The Crochet Dude ergonomic crochet hook is a great, affordable comfort hook option for a crocheter who doesn’t need an inline hook.
Giveaway
When I contacted the nice folks who manufacture the Crochet Dude by Boye collection to tell them about my plans for reviewing the hook during NatCroMo13, they were generous enough to send along a prize pack of 6 different ergonomic Crochet Dude hooks (in US sizes B, E, G, H, I, and L) for me to share with one lucky reader.
This giveaway is open internationally. Enter by 11:59 p.m. Eastern time on Saturday, March 9, 2013.

I would crochet ANYTHING with those hooks.
Right now I’m working on a few pairs of slippers, using regular Boyle hooks. It sounds like I could easily pick up my work with these ergonomic ones.
Hi Marie!
If I were to win the hooks I’d make this blanket: http://www.purlbee.com/granny-stripe-blanket/
It’s been in mu queue forever but I’m dreading the looong rows, maybe an ergnomic hook will help!
Thanks for the chance!
Just followed you on Twitter. Already liked you on FB and am part of you Rav group.
I’ll start by crocheting my niece’s blanket and slippers.
This hooks would encourage me to rediscover my love for crochet.
I have my eye on a fabulous ‘Pop Art’ blanket which would involve lots and lots of crocheting so these fabulous hooks would indeed come in handy!Thank you for giving them away and letting others have a chance of using them.
Sorry, forgot to say that I ‘liked’ you on FB!
I have a confession. I’ve never tried ergo crochet hooks. In fact, I have an extensive collection of cheap plastic things that break too often. So embarrassing!
So, I’d pretty much crochet everything with these babies. ;p
Right now I’m crocheting potholders, so thats what I would make.
liked you on facebook
I am into scarves lately, so I would probably make more scarves. Maybe some amigurumi as well.
Also, I liked, followed, joined Ravelry, then shared.
My crocheting skills are a bit weak at this point. I can’t seem to find a hook that I’m comfortable with. Maybe these will be my ticket yo crocheting nirvana!
I would start a new crochet afghan with them.
I have been into making afghans of late. I have a few in progress at the same time (love variety) and those are all knitting so I should start one or two in crochet as well. I love Boye needles but have not tried any of the more comfortable (ergonomic) ones. Would love to give them a try.
With those size hooks – B, E, G, H, I, L – I could make anything from baby clothes to a double strand rug. How exciting is that?! All the hooks in my teapot are from my mother and are probably 40+ years old. I love them dearly but would like to try an ergo hook. The Rav. Library beckons…
I’d switch from the Boye hook I’m using on the afghan for my great grandson to be and probably not have to put the project down as I am now -
I would use these wonderful hooks to crochet hats and scarves for local charities. I only use Boye hooks and have for years. I like the idea of trying the ergonomic hooks as my aging hands cramp up occasionally. I follow Underground Crafter on Ravelry, Facebook and receive your email. Thanks for a great chance to win!
I never used ergonomic hooks so it would be a great time to start a new spa set with those fantastic hooks.
I’m always making hats, so that’s probably what I would use the hooks for! And amigurumi, because I tend to get tense when I make those because I’m trying to get a denser fabric.
(I’m already following on Facebook and Rav, does that count?)
I would finally finish my daughter’s flower rug….
I would crochet my squares for the CAL that I am so behind on
I make hats, and cowls, and scarves, and have recently started spinning my own yarn, I would LOVE to try these hook handles …my wrists would appreciate it
thank you for the chance to win! Cheers
I am also fans and joined and followed all the extras as well
I am teaching some of my students to crochet so that we can do a service project of making scarves for the homeless! I would love to have these hooks to use with the kids!
I would make my next project with them.. whatever that might be…. I am always crocheting something.
Afghans, afghans and more afghans! Throw in some baby sweaters and cocoons and I’m all set!
everything —I make the turtle blanket photo props for new babies and granny shawls for charities, and hospices, and senior centers so they would be put to good use. Heading off now to like your sites on all the media!!!
I am currently working on a project to make 12 afghans for a battered woman’s shelter. If I were to win these hooks, my finger tips would love you for life!
I´d finished my two shawls and also I taught how to do crocheting to my friend.
Yo terminaría mis dos chales y además le enseñaría a mi amiga a hacer crochet o ganchillo
If I was to win this precious hooks I would crochet lots of more beanies for all the people in this world for cancer !
I want to try out these ergonomic crochet hooks. I just joined the Underground crafter group on ravelry.
Cowl & hat set.
I am an avid knitter but lately have taken to crochet. I have 16 grandchildren who now want grammie to crochet blankets for their beds. I will gladly do it! I have arthritis in my hands and I believe that these hooks would enable me to get the blankets done with less pain!
I could crochet all kinds of things for my new grandaugter. Yaaay!
I definitely will try to make my hats with them. I see there are plenty of gauges so why not try them. I have never had the need to use ergonomic hooks. I make Tapestry Crochet hats and It may help me make them faster in an ergonomic way. I say that if I win a set, I will make sure that I include them in my next pattern props.
I would crochet hats and baby blankets
following on all twitter, facebook and Ravelry
I would finish an Afghan I started at Christmas but won’t finish because my hands hurt so badly. I. Think these hooks will help!!!
If I won the hooks, I would use it to make my amigurumi animals , scarves, gloves and baby blankets.
I would crochet a nice Spring hat!
I would continue to work on the Tardis blanket that I have been working on FOREVER! LOL Maybe new hooks would give me the umph I need to plug along.
I’d make my grands afghans!!!
I shared on my FB!WOOHOO
I’d use them to complete my list of projects for 2013. I set myself some goals at the first of the year and the only requirement was that one of the projects had to be specifically for myself. We all tend to give everything away so I want to ensure I have something I’ve made for me because we are all worth it!!
(Page liked on Facebook, following on Twitter and joined group on Ravelry)
I would make a hat for my niece and more amigurumi for my daughter and all of my nieces and nephews.
I want to make so may things! But I really need to crochet a pair of blankets for my twins and some cushion covers… so… fingers crossed!

I would continue work a blanket that I have started & I have another one planned once I am done with this one.
I also joined your Ravelry group & your Facebook page.
I would use these hooks to make hats to five away to a couple of charity groups that I give to on a regular basis.
I just bought my first ever The Crochet Dude hook Thursday. I love it. I would be happy to crochet anything with these if I won them.
Thanks for the offer!
I would crochet a couple of dolls that I’ve been wanting to make for the girls I babysit. It would be great to try these hooks, they look comfortable.
Oh what to make. I love making hats and Afghans. I would make some slippers for my son. He has been asking for a while. They would get a daily work out it. Thank you
I just learned crochet a couple of years ago when injured on the job. Spinal cord damage means I can’t feel my knitting needles or regular hooks so I wrap duct tape around the handles! I’m one of those weird people who give away every item they make…I’ve never kept a single thing I’ve knit or crocheted! And if I am lucky enough to win, I will give away a hook to my Sissy who is getting arthritis in her own crafty hands!
Oops…silly me – I got carried away joining your Ravelry group, liking you on Facebook and then following you on Twitter that I forgot to mention what I’d make with these hooks! I’m in a blanket-making mode right now and would most likely use some home-spun wool to make cage mats for my local humane society. I know my own kitties love to knead whatever I’m working on and so thought those cats waiting for their own forever homes would enjoy the comfort of some soft and skooshy wool too!
Thanks for this giveaway! I love the crochet Dude and that is how I found out about the giveaway. I hope to make afghans or pretty scarves, maybe even some cute headbands for my friends! Thanks!
If I won these marvelous hooks I would make afghans for some Wedding gifts. I need to make three but, keep putting it off.
I would make more gifts for friends and family: hats and amigurumi, mostly. I would also like to make a pair of socks.
I always have an afghan going and have wanting to try hooks like these. Quilt look afghans are my favorite to make.
Sheesh I need to review what I’ve typed before I post things. I’ve always “wanted” to try hooks like these.
I would use them to work on my projects. My current one is bunny slippers and after that a St.Patty’s Day hat.
shared n liked all i own a couple of these hooks already and love
I would use the G to finish pieces for a chair that I am covering and the L to make the rest of my 24 hat order for Christmas 2013. Awesome give away! Thank you.
I’d like to start working on a few afghans for the veterans home near where I live.
After turning my hobby into a part time business, my hands and wrist don’t like me anymore. I always wanted to try these hooks, but i have so many crochet hooks that I talk myself out of buying new ones. I would love to see if it helps and if I won these I’m sure I would have to retire the old ones !!
i love to make blankets been working on one for the pass year. be nice to not have to let my hands rest. pick me pick me…lol
I would crochet more preemie and baby afghans to donate
I would crochet everything I can get my hands on with them. I have arthritis so bad in my hands I have not been doing much with my regular hooks! I hope I win!!!!
I liked your page, shared the giveaway on Facebook and joined your group on Ravelry.
I crochet for cancer, homeless veterans, babies at the hospital and for pleasure so I would use them for just about everything -
I would enjoy using these hooks as much as I enjoy crocheting. I would continuemaking baby blankets, baby sweaters an booties, etc.
I would use the I, 5.5MM hook to finish my waffle stitch afghan. I used a tutorial on YouTube, http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=L3g5aSW6zQI, and I made this scarf before winter. I used an Ergonomic hook in 6.0MM to make my scarf as that was what was recommended and I loved the pattern so much that I wanted to make it into an afghan. I am currently still working on it and I’ve been working on it since Super Bowl Sunday and here we are, a month later, and I have made acceptional progress, but I just wish it would be finished!! One of these Ergonomic hooks to finish this afghan would be great!
I crochet for cancer, homeless veterans, babies at the hospital and for pleasure so I would use them for just about everything
Blanket for my niece’s first baby, a girl, coming in June.
I am a big BOYE fan – they are the only hooks I will use – I tried others but got rid of those and only use BOYE – I love them. I purchased one of the Crochet Dude’s hooks just to try and I LOVED it – I have the whole set on my “wish list” and would be overjoyed if I won this set. It is the most comfortable hook!!
If I had these I would make afghans – I want to make a breast cancer awareness afghan for a friend of mine and an afghan for another friend with her favorite team’s (Atlanta Falcons) colors. Thanks for the chance at winning!
I like to make hats to give to a cancer patient charity in our town, so I would make some of those. My grandsons want me to make them some slippers and I make scarves and hats for gifts my family. I am also currently working on a Crochet Dude afghan and I would love to use these hooks on all my projects. My wrist gets sore when I crochet a lot, I bet these hooks would help immensely.
If I won the crochet hooks, I would make a bunch of purses, clutches and pillows. As a single mom, any extra income is a good thing, but the pillows are for my home. I believe one can never have too many pillows.
I’ve been eyeing a Montreal Canadiens afghan that my dear husband would love – he is from Quebec and a huge Canadiens fan!
I also shared the facebook post that I entered with.
I have just recently learned to crochet. Finally!
I have so many items I can’t wait to learn how to make it’s hard to list them here but here goes: hats for new niece coming soon, doll clothes for my 5 year old, every Muppet pattern I can find, and oh so much more. After knitting for 8 years I love my new obsession, crochet!
I would make a lot of baby items, gifts for my friends and family and home school group. I’ve had to limit my crochet items to yarn and not thread because the small aluminum hooks hurt my hands. But, it would breat if I can venture into more delicate items with smaller hooks that have the ergonomic handles. Thanks for having your giveaway!
I would make a baby blanket for my beautiful niece that is only a week old, and I would make a lace scarf for my sister and mother.
I would make sweaters for my guys from the Crochet Dude’s book – they have each picked at least one.
If I won these hooks, I would actually give them to my son, Andrew. He has taught himself how to knit and crochet (and read patterns) and is on a real crochet kick right now. Andrew is very adventurous and one of the first things he made was a stuffed cactus (amigurumi-style) for me. He is currently working on a colorful afghan, after changing up the textured pattern to suit himself. His tension control is amazing. He is already starting to crochet to his own designs. I am so impressed by him and what he has accomplished in just a few months.
A lot of hats, scarves and anything that I see that I just have to make
I also grant wishes for friends who are having babies, instead of just making them a blanket I let them choose what they would like. I have never used these hooks and would really love to try them.
I would use these hooks to relieve my arthritic hands and make a crayon blanket for my granddaughter.
I am making some headbands and would love to use these hooks! Also have plans to make some shawls that I’d use them for as well.
I like and commented toUnderground Crafter on Facebook.
Following on Twitter and tweeted.
Joined the Rav group and commented.
Thank you!
I have been crocheting for about 53 years. I make everything from doilies to evening gowns. Because of my advancing rheumatoid arthritis I am having a lot of trouble crocheting, however at this time it is not yet defeating me. I am crocheting a dress for my 4 y/o granddaughter and I am teaching my 8 y/o grandson how to crochet. The ergonomic Boyle style hooks may make it much easier for me to continue with my love for crochet for many more years!
I love to crochet and give it away. Love to see the look on the faces of recipient. I also crochet for charity. The warmth and joy is not only felt by me but the unfortunate as well
I could crochet anything with these amazing hooks! More dishclothes to give to friends and family!
What would I make? I’d make an afghan for my daughter, Leah; already have the yarn……need to finish the one I am working on…..love the Crochet Dude’s gloves already!!
I love to crochet hats for my young nieces and nephews and for my teenage daughter. Infinity scarves are a favorite too!
I would crochet all the things!!!! M fans are hats and amiigurumi.
I would love to try these! I would crochet everything with these..Lately my hands and wrists don’t seem to be as flexible as they used to be…Would love to try these to get any comfort ! Thanks for the chance! :0
I make chemo hats for adults and children…and now the clinic have asked for wraps and blankets for those taking chemo treatments…I would use these hooks to make these items. I donate and yes, it cost me a lot of money (Some people are so nice to donate yarn from someone in their family that has past away, or not crocheting any more, so this does help.) It is such an honor to do this, for I know people love what they get and are so happy. I am disabled (nurse) and it is kinda my way of giving back to those who have helped me, by sharing with others. I have not used these hooks and would love to try one to see if it helps my hands…..appreciate this give away and hoping I win:) Thank you and God Bless
I’m constantly crocheting and knitting chemo caps for a local charity called Knots of Love (knotsoflove.org) that provides the caps to cancer centers all over the United States. We donate our yarn and our time (and know-how) to this amazing cause. So I’d definitely be putting them to good use! Thanks for the consideration!
Liked on FB!
I am expecting my first grandchild any day and don’t know whether a girl or boy. I think my grandchild needs more hats (that aren’t green, grey, orange or yellow)!
Joined your group on Ravelry
I’m a beginner so not sure what I would make as my first project, but I bet these would be great tools to experiment with!
I liked your FB page, followed you on both Twitter and Ravelry, and shared the giveaway on my FB page. If I won, I’d use the H hook to finish making a hat for a girl who’s been diagnosed with leukemia. I’d use the I hook to make a prayer shawl. Thanks for the chance to win!
Thank you so much for the opportunity to win these. I have never tried them, for I am busy buying yarn. I make chemo hats for adults and children…and now they (clinic) has asked for wraps and blankets for these people in need. My hands get so tired, cramping at times, but it is very important that I do my part to help. I am a disabled nurse, and this is my way of giving to those in need. These needles would help me so much….I am very lucky, people have donated some yarn from people who have passed away, those who have quit crocheting and other reasons, so this helps me be able to continue this mission. I wish all crochet and knitters would do something and take it to a cancer center or give to someone they know who has it. These treatments make them so cold……and when they get something, they know they are wrapped in love by someone that cares. Thank you again.
My church just started a new ministry making hats for cancer patients called “Covered by Love” so that’s what I would use these hooks for. I could make more with more comfortable hooks!
I think with those ergonomic hooks, I would finally be able to make the spider man afghan my grnadson wants……..hard to do a large project with my arthritic hands and my regular hooks
Might also by able to make more charity items this year!
I would make the beautiful lace shawl of my crocheting dreams!
I’ve been busy making slippers and hats. They’re great as gifts.
I’ve been wanting to make an afghan for my 8 year old daughter, but my hands hurt when I crochet for too long and have been daunted by the amount of time it would take me with all the rests I have to take.
I liked you on Facebook and shared the giveaway on my wall and my page.
I crochet mostly for charities, especially HeartMade Blessings (where I “met” Drew). I would use the hooks to continue my crochet with them and the others that I work with. Thanks! =)
I LOVE ergonomic hooks, and I would use this set to make more hats for the hospitals and they will be great for my daughter to use. She is learning to crochet and has just been diagnosed with rheumatoid arthritis.
i would crochet some hats and some afgans if i won the 6 ergonomic Crochet Dude by Boye hooks.
More Amigurumi of course!

I liked Underground Crafter on Facebook.
Since I have become disabled and spend a lot of time crocheting I have a couple of different projects at late; hats for charity and baby blankets for a new grandchild and a fun little bunny hat and diaper cover. I would use these hooks if I win them to make each of my 11 grandchildren a blanket with them. Thank you for this opportunity!
I would love a set of these ergonomic crochet hooks. Thanks for the opportunity to win it!
If I were to win these hooks I’d crochet lots of hats, mitts, and attempt a blankie for my two new grand babies.
I would love to use these with my amigurumi. I always get hand cramps using my smaller hooks and I bet these would really help.
I am going to make an Afghan with these hooks. That would certainly help with my hand getting fatigued.
Love to try them!
I’d use them to crochet for my etsy site! I’m also currently working on an impossible wedding tie and the tiny hook is killing my hands!!!
I would crochet everything with these precious jewels. I have never owned one but have always wanted to have at least one, so six would make me all beside myself.
They would be a great help with Fibromyalgia!
Thank you
I’m a beginning crocheter. I do find that my hand hurts after any length of time crocheting with my plain Boye metal hooks. I hope that as I get more experienced my grip will loosen up – that happened with knitting. I bet those ergonomic hooks would help though! If I won, I’d be able to practice more. I have the 100 snowflakes to crochet book and would make lots of them to use as decorations next winter.
I’m on an amigurumi kick right now with the occasional shawl or scarf or hat to break it up.
I would crochet like crazy. I make doll clothes for my 10 year old granddaughter and my hands kill me when I am done. Perhaps these hooks would prevent the pain I feel. But even the pain won’t stop me from crocheting!! I LOVE CROCHET.
I also liked your page on facebook and on Ravelry.
I would use these hooks to make more afghans and animals for my nieces and nephews. Love to send them presents! They love to receive them too! Thanks for the opportunity to win!

I have some beautiful organic cotton blended with cria alpaca(80/20) and spun about the size of #10 crochet cotton that wants to become scarves, the smaller hooks would be great for that. With the larger ones, I would crochet my roving directly into hats.

I have lots of items on my crochet to do list (I’ve been crocheting less than a year, but am totally obsessed by it!) At the moment I have 2 blankets on the go and am making hats and scarves for my grandchildren. I love the craft blogs I have found and been inspired by.
If I were to win the six ergonomic crochet hooks from The Crochet Dude by Boye hooks, I would make a sampler lap blanket so I would be able to try all the hooks on one project! I joined Underground Crafter on FB, Twitter and Ravelry. I shared your contest on FB, Twitter and Pinterest! Thank you for the chance to win your beautiful crochet hooks!
I love these hooks. I am currently into making items to donate to various charities. I would continue to do that but with a greater ease as my hand fatigue would not make me stop as often. Along my life’s journey I also like to make gifts for loved ones and these hooks would also be used for that. Thank you for sharing these with one lucky winner!
I would try these hooks out on some granny squares for charity.
With arthritis getting bad in my hands anything I crochet-which is daily, mostly charity work-these would be great. Thanks.

I would make kippahs with these hooks!
I would make amigurumi!!!!!!
I’ve been wanting to crochet a stuffed animal for my son (who is 6 weeks old today) but I mostly have little tiny hooks for my crochet thread. These hooks would allow me to make a stuffed buddy for my little one! As soon as I can find the time…

I have been working on several projects, but would like to make a bunny for my great niece.

I would make lots of laprobes and kids’ blankets for Ronald McDonald House with these hooks.

I would practice more crochet techniques, knowing my hands wouldn’t get tired as easily; especially filet crochet.
I would give these to my 10 year old crocheter, and I am sure that she would make wonderful things: afghans, flowers, hair scrunchies . . .
I would make http://www.ravelry.com/patterns/library/white-lily-blanket
If I won these, I would start making a wedding gift for a friends daughter. I only have about 3 months left to get something made! Hurry and send me the prize, Please!

I started collecting these hooks because I have tremors and crocheting is my therapy. They are easy for me to keep a grip on them. They are wonderful. I usually have several WIP so they get lots of use. I can always use more. I crochet when I sit with my mother in a nursing home.
I love your work! With these ergonomic hooks I would continue my work on a couple of afghans and my perpetual pile of dishcloths. The best part would be being able to work on them for longer periods of time without my hand getting tired!
Tons of hats for my cute little niece!
I make amigurumi Angry Birds & pigs for my stepson, so these hooks would make that a lot easier on my hands. Also for slippers since those are made with 2 strands held together.
I would make blankets and outfits for my new grandson due in April.

I am currently making grannies–each one different, even different sizes, each using many combination of denim blue yarns. I plan to even to put them all together into a vest or cardigan. I would love to try one of your hooks on my grannies.
Having fibromyalgia, I cramp up easily. Have not yet tried ergonomic hooks, so I’ll be quite excited if I win these and will crochet more. (Who knows? It may just loosen my work, as my tension is rather tight)
I have some baby shower gifts to make. These hooks would help very much. Thanks for the chance to win them.

I would use these to crochet everything! They look like a great tool, and I’d be thrilled to win them!
I will make just about anything I can with them. I always try to use ergonomic hooks because of my carpal tunnel.
If I were to win the hooks I would make my Uncle an afghan. He is living in a nursing home as MS has been ravaging his body. He spends his days sitting in a wheel chair and I want to help brighten his existence. Unfortunaely tendinitis has kept me from being able to make much progress and I think these hooks could be very beneficial. Thanks for your review, I hadn’t considered these hooks as I have a set of regular boye aluminum.
I would love to when these hooks. My arms and hands are hurting today from working with an “F” hook to make a plarn hat. I just finished a hat and baby blanket for a new baby in the family and a beanie and scarf for my brother for his birthday. I love working with plarn (plastic yarn from recycled shopping bags) but it is hard to work with sometimes when it calls for smaller stitches and hooks. I have renewed my love with crochet by the receipt of gifts of bags or yarn from friends. I crochet while listening to books on cd. I like making things for others. Keeps my hands busy. Keeps me out of trouble.
I just crocheted a newborn cap for charity. My hand got all cramped up. If I had this set of hooks, I’d be able to crochet again. I knit hats for cancer patients, and I could crochet them also.

Oh, and I want to crochet a yarn studio in my spare bedroom. It’s never to early to start on Christmas gifts. Those hooks wouldn’t see a speck of dust at my house! =)

I crochet for the local Children’s Hospital. I make newborn and preemie blankets, hats and booties. This is what I would use the crochet hooks for. OR I may have one of the ladies in my group try them out. Just last week she was complaining how much crochet hurts her hands. If they help her, I just may give them to her.
These hooks would help me get my 2013 list of projects done. They include coaster sets, at least a dozen afghans, fingerless gloves, some scarves, 2 shawls, and bolero’s for the Granddaughters and great niece’s. I would love to try these out and see if I like them better then the ones I have!
I could finish the afghan I started before I knew how tough a million cables and post stitches can be on my poor thumb and wrist!! OK, I exaggerate, it just feels like a million…and then maybe I can move on to the pineapple shawl CAL! Love it! Thanks!!
I would make more prayer shawls for folks facing illness, life transitions, or challenges in their lives.
I already like you on fb.
I think I would crochet another blanket (or 5) with the hooks. I’ve become slightly obsessed with the idea of making more blankets.
I would make some wonderful animals for my son and other kids! I hope to build up enough of a collection to start giving them away to local shelters for kids that come in with nothing.
I also followed you on twitter and joined the ravelry group.

I would start an afghan and I’m sure the ergonomic hooks would be very helpful with a large project like this.
I also liked you on Facebook.
I would make the crocheted versions of various Navajo designs that I have. Those ergo hooks would make the involved charts MUCH easier to work with!
I am crocheting afghans for each of my family members. So far have finished one, am midway through one and starting one. I like to work on several projects at one time! So, since I have so many of these afghans to crochet (large family), these ergo hooks would be a lifesaver!
I recently finished my first baby-sized granny blanket, and I loved it so much I’d like to make another! That’s probably the first project I’d make with these hooks, but with such a great range of sizes, I know I’d use them for lots of other projects too.
Since I am new to crochet, I’d make a simple project, maybe a cowl
I would crochet a pokemon stuffed figure for my 15 year old Autistic son. I have crocheted many of them over the years. They keep him calm when he is getting frustrated about not being always able to communicate the ways that he wants to do. I know he would appreciate me making another one for him.

i love to crochet but i stop for awhile but i back in it ,i have no idea why i stop.thankyou GERI
I have one of the in an size F, I absolutely love it! I have been saving to get one in every size. I type all day for work and crocheting when I get home has caused some problems in my right hand, so much so that I had to go on a two week no crochet break per doctor’s orders, it was depressing. I’ve been using this hook and it changed how tightly I’ve been griping the hook and relieved some of the discomfort. I would recommend them to anyone!
