I am “auditing” this project and am making the blanket for my youngest grandchild. I have started the diamonds on stockinette square and seem to have a gap on the left side of the square. I ripped back to work to the gap and re-knitted the row and got the same result. Should row 7 read: sl 2, k 3, *p 1, k 11, p 1, rep from * to last 4 sts, k 3, p 1 for total stitches 33. The picture accompanying the instructions seem to have a gap as well. I know this throws the whole square off but I want to make it look right. Thanks, June

Thanks for stopping by, June. The pattern as written has made the square you see in the picture. You are welcome to make your own modifications, especially if you don’t like the look. The suggestion you’ve written will not increase the row by a stitch, but it may achieve a look you prefer.
