Every year, I try to make special handmade holiday gifts for my mom and sister. Back in October, I came across some beautiful yarn at the Farmers Market, and knew it had to become a gift for my mom.

This is a beautifully soft, Merino wool from the Catskill Merino Sheep Farm called Saxon Merino Sport. I was drawn into the booth by the skein of Half and Half, which is half green and half undyed. (Unfortunately for you, this beautiful yarn is only available at the stand.)
I wanted to make a pattern that was reversible, and here’s the stitch pattern I came up with. On the left, you can see the “right” side, and on the right you can see the “back” side. I think both look wonderful, making this a very versatile infinity scarf.
