One of my favorite things about crocheting newborn hats is that they can be finished in one leg of my commute.

After finishing the Sleepy Kitty Lovey, I still had some Loops & Threads Impeccable yarn in my bag. I decided to work up this quick newborn hat to keep on the side for my donation to the Friends of Pine Ridge Reservation later this year. And, of course, you can make one for your own little one or to keep on hand for your next bag shower.
Although I rated this pattern as intermediate, a confident beginner can definitely finish it. I included a video tutorial for the post stitches to make it easier.
