Crochet Pattern: Tunisian Crochet Log Cabin Sampler Blanket

Tunisian Crochet Log Cabin Sampler Blanket free crochet pattern by Underground Crafter The Tunisian Crochet Log Cabin Sampler Blanket guides you through all the basic Tunisian crochet stitches while you make a cozy blanket in the classic log cabin pattern. I’ve included links to video tutorials to guide you through all the special stitches, so though the pattern is listed as intermediate, a focused beginner can definitely make it. And, if you’ve already made the Mitered Square Pillow, you’ll notice this is designed to coordinate with it. Best of all, this pattern is available in five sizes from baby blanket to queen blanket.

I actually designed this pattern for Love of Crochet‘s Spring, 2015 issue. It uses six variations of Tunisian crochet stitches. If you’ve never made a log cabin project before, it starts with the smallest center square and then you build it up by picking up stitches and adding on sections, using a combination of “light” and “dark” colors.

Tunisian Crochet Log Cabin Sampler Blanket free crochet pattern by Underground Crafter This blanket comes out super cozy and lush. It’s perfect for cuddling under in cold weather or protecting yourself from the air conditioning in the summer.

Tunisian Crochet Log Cabin Sampler Blanket free crochet pattern by Underground Crafter As you can see, the log cabin blocks are very bold when they are displayed. You can use planned colors, like I did, or make it scrappy. Just remember to start with the yarn you have the least amount of for best results!
