Roundup: 24 free crochet patterns for quick gifts, curated by Underground CrafterOn Fridays, I share a link blast on Twitter and Facebook to get you excited about crocheting all weekend! In keeping with the #FlashbackFriday meme, I’m sharing patterns that were first released at least 12 months ago.

I’ve been out of the #FlashbackFriday habit for a few weeks now, so I’m doing something a bit different than my typical roundup. I’m highlighting the 24 free crochet patterns from the 2016 Holiday Stashdown Crochet-a-Long. These aren’t 12 months old, but the “new patterns” part of the CAL has come to an end, so I figure a flashback is in order.

If you’re just hearing about the CAL, you have until January 9, 2017 to enter the end-of-CAL giveaways. We have amazing giveaway prizes! You can learn more about the CAL and get links to enter the giveaways here.

Roundup: 12 Free Crochet Patterns for Dishcloths & Washcloths | #FlashbackFriday Crochet #LinkBlast #48

Roundup: 12 free crochet patterns for dishcloths and washcloths, curated by Underground Crafter | Dishcloths and washcloths are great ways to try new stitches. They also make great gifts and useful projects to keep at home.On Fridays, I share a link blast on Twitter and Facebook to get you excited about crocheting all weekend! In keeping with the #FlashbackFriday meme, I’m sharing patterns that were first released at least 12 months ago.

Dishcloths and washcloths are great ways to try out new stitches while making something useful! I use crocheted washcloths for exfoliating and they also make great gifts when paired with homemade or store bought bath and body products.

I recommend using 100% cotton yarns for these projects. Cotton is breathable, easy care (though it does tend to shrink in the first washing), and safe for use in the kitchen near heat because it doesn’t melt when exposed to high temperatures.
