My Travels: Snap! Conference

Last month, I had the opportunity to present a podcasting roundtable at an amazing conference called Snap! for creative bloggers and content creators in Salt Lake City, Utah. I had a great time and I’m going to share some of the fun with you in this post.

One of the great things about going to conferences (as I mentioned in this post) is that I get to meet some of my favorite crochet bloggers in person! At Snap!, I got to see Jessie from Jessie At Home again (we met last year at Stitch N’ Pitch). I also met Tamara from Moogly, Erica from 5 Little Monsters, Brittany from Whistle & Ivy, and Alexis from Persia Lou, as well as Carrie from Red Heart.

As you can imagine, with an audience this crafty, the organizers and sponsors had to bring their A game to decorate their booths and at meals. Here are a few of my favorite displays from the conference.

The sponsoring and exhibiting brands also shared samples with us bloggers. You know I love free stuff, but this is free stuff with a purpose! I’ll be sharing projects with you over the coming months featuring some of these great freebies I got at the conference.

In addition to classes on blogging, writing, working with brands, and getting your business organized, there were also hands on, crafty classes. Erica from 5 Little Monsters and I took a sewing class together. I didn’t actually finish my basket, but it’s off to a great start!

I also got a special speaker gift to keep me inspired all year round.

Did I mention the parties?

I needed a little help from my new friends to figure out how to use the Instax camera. (Thank you, Jessie, for moving my index finger off the viewfinder!)

As if all of this excitement wasn’t enough, there was also the option to have a “secret sister.” I was the recipient of some great secret sister gifts from Hilary from Pulling Curls.

I had a great time collecting gifts for my secret sister, Jessica from Mad in Crafts. You can get the free crochet pattern for my final gift to her here.

I can’t wait to go back next year to see some of my bloggy friends and meet new people!
