Free pattern: Chocolate Chip Cookie Hot Pad

Chocolate Chip Cookie Hot Pad, free crochet pattern by Underground Crafter

According to Food.com, “every day is a food holiday,” and May 15 is National Chocolate Chip Day.

I am a huge fan of chocolate chip cookies (I prefer chewy to crunchy), and yes, I do have my own variation on the classic NESTLÉ Toll House recipe.

My secret is to use almond extract instead of vanilla, and to substitute other “mix ins” for that cup of chopped nuts, like M&Ms, peanut butter chips, dried cranberries, or slivered almonds.

But what if you want to celebrate Chocolate Chip Cookie Day every day? Or, without baking? Then you may want to try out my crochet version!
