A few weeks ago, I was working on a guest post for the Red Heart blog called How Do I Decide Which Red Heart Yarn To Use For My Next Project? Although I’ve used most of the longstanding yarns by Red Heart, there were a few new ones that I had yet to try. In the interest of research, I asked Red Heart if they could send me samples of some of those yarns to use. (Is this research a bit like how my mom used to test my ice cream to make sure it tasted good when I was a little kid? Perhaps, but who doesn’t love to play with new yarns?!)

I like that they metallic threads aren’t wrapped evenly, so there are seemingly random glints of light and texture throughout your project.

The grit stitch is such an easy, beginner-friendly stitch pattern which is also great for when you’re watching your favorite streaming shows or are otherwise distracted.

The Patina colorway with its deep, forest green yarn and gold metallic thread, is just perfect for getting your holiday sparkle on!
