Last fall, King Cole released a new yarn, Homespun DK. This is a light weight wool and alpaca blend yarn that will keep you extra cozy. Homespun DK is available at your local yarn shop or online at Wool Warehouse. I really loved the look of the yarn, so I wanted to make a set that would combine at least two colors, and that’s how the Ollie Slouchy Beanie and Cowl set were born!

I designed the Ollie Slouchy Beanie and Cowl set when I participated in the Shades of Autumn bundle and blog hop with Made by Gootie.

I figured that since we are still experiencing freezing temperatures and snow squalls — at least in the northeastern United States — there are at least a few weeks of hat weather left! So, I decided to share the Teen/Adult Small size version of the Ollie Slouchy Beanie on the blog today. If you need more sizes, you’ll find six additional sizes in the ad-free PDF for sale on Ravelry.

The matching Ollie Cowl is available in two teen and adult sizes. Scroll down for the free Ollie Slouchy Beanie pattern.
