Mélange Blanket Square 24: Pixie Wings

Our twenty-fourth square pattern is Pixie Wings by Polly Plum from Every Trick on the Hook. You can find Polly online at Etsy | Facebook | Instagram | Ravelry | YouTube

You can see Polly’s version in five colors below.

I used King Cole Big Value Aran (available through your local yarn shop or online at LoveCrafts or Wool Warehouse UK) for my square, along with my Denise US Size J-10/6 mm crochet hook, to keep my tension and gauge similar across squares by different designers.

For my version, I used Ocean for Round 1, Nougat for Round 2, Berry for Round 3, Nougat for Round 4, Ocean for Round 5, and Nougat for Round 6. I love the look of this pattern, but it is more of a “focus” pattern than a “mindless” pattern, so be sure you read the instructions carefully. My square was exactly 6″ (15 cm) after Round 6 and then I lightly spray blocked it. (If you’re new to blocking, check out Blocking Basics for Crocheters and Knitters.)
