La Gordita Chunky Crochet Infinity Scarf

La Gordita is a chunky crochet infinity scarf that works up quickly with a super bulky yarn. La Gordita Chunky Crochet Infinity Scarf is long enough to wrap around 3 times for extra warmth (and to create more looks), but I’ve also included instructions for adjusting the length to get fewer or more wrap arounds.

Since I’ve been living in Vermont, folks have been telling me how cold and snowy the winter is going to be. I’ve been preparing by getting a new coat and snow boots, and, of course, by crocheting myself fabulous accessories to wear. For this chunky crochet infinity scarf pattern, I decided to use a tweedy super bulky yarn I found at a recent visit to the craft store, and make it long enough to wrap around at least 3 times.

Not only does the third wrap around give me more styling options, it also means I have the option of wearing La Gordita underneath or over my coat when I head outside.

The color blocking also adds a few options, as you can change up the look by arranging the colors to align or to spread out more.

Even though the stitch pattern is slightly open, the length and the super bulky yarn make this chunky crochet infinity scarf extra warm.

With that being said, not everyone lives in New England, so I’ve also included instructions to help you make your version longer or shorter.
