Long time readers know I love to crochet for charity. If you feel the same, be sure to check out my charity spotlight posts or the Ultimate Guide to Crocheting for Charity for Beginners with a list of regularly updated organizations that accept handmade donations. Today, I’m joining Simply Melanie Jane for the Lapghans for Charity Blog Hop. Each day throughout the Blog Hop, a free lap blanket crochet pattern suitable for donation to nursing homes, hospitals, hospice centers, or any charity of your choice will be shared. The PDF version of each pattern is also available for free with coupon code for 24 hours starting at 7am Eastern on the featured day.

For my contribution, I made a beginner-friendly blanket using a simple stitch combination. This is a very meditative project that more experienced crocheters can make while watching tv, waiting for an appointment, or while (not driving/as a passenger) on your next commute or road trip.
