Crochet Triangle Shawl Pattern by Two Brothers Blankets
Materials
- 874 yards DK (#3) weight yarn – Lion Brand Wrap Star in the colorway Eve was used in sample pictured.
- H (5.0mm) crochet hook
- Scissors
- Measuring tape
- Yarn needle

- Row 4 = 4” (10 cm) across the top

- 54” (137 cm) across the top, unblocked

Stitches Needed & Abbreviations (U.S. Terms)
- ch(s) – chain(s)
- dc – double crochet
- mb – mini bean – insert hook into stitch, yarn over and pull up a loop (2 loops on your hook), yarn over, insert hook into stitch, yarn over and pull up a loop (4 loops on your hook), yarn over and pull through all 4 loops.
- MC – magic circle – Oombawka Design has helpful video and photo tutorials for the magic ring/magic circle here.
- st(s) – stitch(es)
Pattern
- Create a MC.
- Row 1: Ch 3, work 2 dc, ch 2, 3 dc in the magic circle. Pull tight to close. (6)
- Row 2: Ch 3, turn, 1 dc in same st, 1 dc in next 2 sts, (2dc, ch 2, 2dc) in ch-2 space, 1 dc in next 2 sts, 2 dc in last st. (12)
- Row 3: Ch 3, turn, 1 dc in same st, 1 mb in next st, *1 dc in next st, 1 mb in next*, repeat to ch-2 space, (2dc, ch 2, 2dc) in ch-2 space, 1 mb in next st, *1 dc in next st, 1 mb in next st*, repeat to last st, 2 dc in last st. (18)
- Row 4: Ch 3, turn, 1 dc in same st, *1 mb in next st, 1 dc in next st*, repeat to ch-2 space, (2dc, ch 2, 2dc) in ch-2 space, *1 dc in next st, 1 mb in next st*, repeat to last st, 2 dc in last st. (24)
- Repeat Rows 3 and 4 until you reach 300 sts or desired size for your shawl. You will be increasing by 6 sts each row.
- Fasten off. Weave in ends. Block if desired.
