Crochet pattern: Coming Up Roses Square

Crochet pattern: Coming Up Roses Square in Red Heart With Love by Underground Crafter | This square features a simple rose pattern at the center. It’s one of two squares used in the Picking Flowers Pillow. The Coming Up Roses Square is a granny pattern I originally designed in 2014. Recently, I was working on a granny square pillow project and I decided to give this pattern a refresh and convert it from a premium pattern to a blog pattern. The Coming Up Roses Square features a simple rose pattern at the center and the last round is perfect for join-as-you-go projects.

If you’re new to the join-as-you-go method of joining granny squares, you can find my tutorial here. My original inspiration for this square was childhood memories from summers spent at my maternal grandmother’s house. Pink roses used to grow on the fence between her back yard and her neighbors’ yard. Technically, the roses actually belonged to the neighbors, but sharing was never a problem.
