Crochet Pattern: Traditional Granny Square

Crochet pattern: Traditional Granny Square in Red Heart With Love Yarn by Underground Crafter | This version of the traditional granny square includes a slight change to the corners that makes edges smoother and color changes easier. This is one of several motifs used in the Classic Granny with a Twist Blanket.I’ve mentioned before that the traditional granny square was one of the first patterns I made once I learned to read patterns in 2002. (It was actually this version: the Basic Granny Square by JPF Crochet Club.) I’ve made a slight change to the corners in my version that makes edges smoother and color changes easier.
