Friday is Wear Red Day. Every year, the American Heart Association‘s Go Red for Women, “a national movement to end heart disease and stroke in women,” promotes this day as a way of spreading awareness of heart disease in women “because it’s not just a man’s disease.” In fact, in the U.S., heart disease is the cause of 1 out of 3 women’s deaths, and for the past 30 years, more women than men have died of heart disease.
In case you’d like to participate in Wear Red Day while showing a little crochet style, I’m sharing several roundups of crochet patterns for women’s wearables. Most are accessories that could be worked up in time for Friday night :).
