Friday is Wear Red Day. Every year, the American Heart Association‘s Go Red for Women, “a national movement to end heart disease and stroke in women,” promotes this day as a way of spreading awareness of heart disease in women “because it’s not just a man’s disease.” In fact, in the U.S., heart disease is the cause of 1 out of 3 women’s deaths, and for the past 30 years, more women than men have died of heart disease.
The good news is that “women who are involved with the Go Red For Women movement live healthier lives.” Let’s beat the statistics while crocheting ourselves some beautiful wearables! In support of Wear Red Day, I’m sharing several roundups of crochet patterns for women’s wearables. Previously, I shared 10 free crochet patterns for boot cuffs and fingerless gloves and 10 free patterns for headwear.
