Sometimes things get lost in transit. As an example, in 1997, I took a trip to Europe to visit several countries. My checked bag, stuffed with 30 days worth of clothing and toiletries, never made it. (I ended up learning a valuable lesson about packing, though.) Back in 2014, I designed several patterns for I Like Crochet magazine as it launched. This long and cuddly chevron scarf crochet pattern was meant to be one of those patterns, but somehow the sample got lost.

Recently, it turned up and was returned to me. Since it is no longer under contract, I’m able to share the pattern as a free crochet pattern with you all.
This pattern uses one of my favorite chevron stitch patterns. The edges stay straight, which I love.
