Mélange Blanket Square 28: Holland Square

Our twenty-eighth square pattern is the Holland Square by The Unraveled Mitten. You can find Heather online at Facebook | Instagram | Pinterest | Ravelry
You can see Heather’s versions in one and three colors below.

I used King Cole Big Value Aran (available through your local yarn shop or online at LoveCrafts or Wool Warehouse UK) for my square, along with my Denise US Size J-10/6 mm crochet hook, to keep my tension and gauge similar across squares by different designers.
For my version, I used Berry through Round 2, changing to Nougat with the slip stitch join at the end of Round 2. I used Nougat for Round 3, changing to Ocean with the slip stitch join at the end of Round 3. I used Ocean for Round 4, changing back to Nougat with the slip stitch join at the end f Round 4. I used Nougat for Rounds 5 and 6. My square was then exactly 6″ (15 cm) and I spray blocked it to shape. (If you’re new to blocking, check out Blocking Basics for Crocheters and Knitters.)
