I’m joining Oombawka Design Crochet and The Stitchin’ Mommy for the fifth annual Hat of the Month Crochet Along with the chunky yarn crochet beanie pattern for the Bianca Beanie. The Bianca Beanie uses a same simple, two-row repeat stitch pattern.

I’m thrilled to be invited back to Oombawka Design Crochet and The Stitchin’ Mommy’s fifth annual Hat of the Month Crochet Along (get the details here on Oombawka Design Crochet and here on The Stitchin’ Mommy). In this year’s version, Rhondda and Amy have invited 12 guest designers, so each month you get 3 free hat patterns. Whether you like to make scarves to wear, gift, or donate, this is the perfect CAL for you!

For my contribution to this month’s CAL, I decided to make a chunky yarn crochet beanie to match the Bianca Cowl. Both the Bianca Beanie and Cowl came together using bulky yarn and a simple two-row stitch pattern repeat.

The Bianca Beanie is available in 10 sizes from newborn through adult large. All but the largest size use just two skeins of Lion Brand Hue + Me (one skein each in 108AD Magic Hour and 110AU Peacoat). It’s a soft wool and acrylic blend that comes in coordinating colors. Hue + Me is available online from Lion Brand | LoveCrafts | WeCrochet | JOANN | Amazon.

Scroll down for the free pattern for the Bianca Beanie. Don’t forget to visit Oombawka Design Crochet to get Rhondda’s January pattern, the Seed Stitch Hat, and The Stitchin’ Mommy to get Amy’s January pattern, the Melina Beanie.
