Crocheting with colors is guaranteed to bring a smile to my face. If you feel the same, you’ll love the Colorwork Fun Blog Hop and Crochet Pattern Bundle with Simply Melanie Jane! Each day there is a featured pattern PDF that you can download for free. You can also grab all 19 patterns from the blog hop (plus a bonus pattern — 20 in all) for less than 55¢ each in the Colorwork Fun Crochet Pattern Bundle!

For my contribution to this blog hop, I designed the Lourdes Granny Stitch Shawl using King Cole Simply Denim DK yarn, a 50/50 cotton/acrylic blend denim-type yarn that is soft and squishy. Simply Denim DK is available at LoveCrafts | SewProCrafts or Knittingkit Creations on Etsy Amazon. I wanted a yarn that I would feel comfortable in year-round, and this yarn was the perfect choice!

I used 5502 Blue Denim as the Main Color and then alternated with stripes of 5507 Turquoise Denim and 5500 Pink Denim. I love how all three colors came together to make this granny stitch shawl.
