If you live in a part of the world with four seasons, you know that summertime crochet is a whole different beast. If you’re looking for fun summer projects that you can make right now, you’ll love the Summer Vibes Blog Hop and Crochet Pattern Bundle with Fosbas Designs! Each day there is a featured pattern PDF that you can download for free or for 50% off. You can also grab all 31 patterns from the blog hop (plus 5 bonus patterns — 36 in all) for less than 40¢ each in the Summer Vibes Crochet Pattern Bundle!

For my contribution to this blog hop, I designed the Lupita V-Stitch Shawl using King Cole Curiosity DK yarn, a self-striping acrylic light (double knitting/DK/#3) weight yarn. Curiosity DK is available at your local yarn shop or online at SewProCrafts or WoolManiaStore on Etsy or Wool Warehouse UK. This yarn is thin enough for a summer wrap.

I used the v-stitch, a classic and popular stitch pattern, for this shawl. The main part of the shawl (before you get to the borders) is an easy peasy single row repeat which is basically a row of v-stitches with a small increase.

You can easily adjust the size of this shawl by crocheting more or fewer rows. Depending on the size of your waist, you may be able to wear this as a swim suit cover up. (If you can’t, no worries! My waist doesn’t fit at this size either.)
