Welcoming Blanket 8: Pilar Floral Granny Square

Crochet Pattern by Underground Crafter

Updated 7/24/2024

Pilar is the eighth floral granny square in the Welcoming Blanket, a mystery crochet along for a 40″ x 40″ throw blanket made up of nine 12” floral granny square patterns with borders. The Pilar pattern has an 8-petal flower at the center which is inspired by the petals on the Serene Petals Square.

Finished Size

  • 12” (30.5 cm) square.

Materials for the Welcoming Blanket

  • Caron One Pound (available at Mary Maxim | Amazon) yarn (100% acrylic, 16 oz/454 g/812 yd/742 m) – 1 skein each in 02005 Sun Yellow (CA), 10517 Rose (CB), and 10620 Grass Green (CC), or approximately 812 yd/742 m in each of 3 medium weight yarns.
    • The Pilar Floral Granny Square uses approximately 75 yd (68.5 m) in CA, 45 yd (41 m) in CB, and 45 yd (41 m) in CC in any medium weight yarn.
  • Clover Amour (available at WeCrochet | Amazon) US Size J-10/6 mm crochet hook, or size needed to obtain gauge.
