Welcoming Blanket 10: Joining, Borders, & Finishing

Crochet Pattern by Underground Crafter

This is the final part of the Welcoming Blanket, a mystery crochet along for a 40″ x 40″ throw blanket made up of nine 12” floral granny square patterns with borders.

Finished Size

  • 40” (101.5 cm) square.

Materials for the Welcoming Blanket

  • Caron One Pound (available at Mary Maxim | Amazon) yarn (100% acrylic, 16 oz/454 g/812 yd/742 m) – 1 skein each in 02005 Sun Yellow (CA), 10517 Rose (CB), and 10620 Grass Green (CC), or approximately 812 yd/742 m in each of 3 medium weight yarns.
    • Joining and adding borders uses approximately 80 yd (73 m) in CA, 175 yd (160 m) in CB, and 100 yd (91.5 m) in CC in any medium weight yarn.
  • Clover Amour (available at WeCrochet | Amazon) US Size J-10/6 mm crochet hook, or size needed to obtain gauge.
  • Yarn needle.

Gauge

  • Exact gauge is not critical for this project. For best results, use same yarn and hook as for your Welcoming Blanket squares.
