Back in January, King Cole released Jitterbug DK, a variegated yarn in retro ’80s colorways. As a child of the ’80s myself, I was instantly drawn to the bright and bold options. Jitterbug DK is available at your local yarn shop or online at LoveCrafts | SewProCrafts on Etsy | Wool Warehouse UK.

At the same time, I was looking for a classic and simple stitch pattern that would really allow the yarn to shine. I’m a huge fan of the traditional granny stitch as well as a lover of triangle shawls, so I decided to bring it all together with the Classic Granny Triangle Shawl pattern!

To get the best drape, you’ll want to use a larger hook than you would typically use for the yarn. For example, I recommend a US Size J-10/6 mm hook with Jitterbug DK, a #3/light weight yarn, but definitely experiment until you get your preferred drape.
