I’m joining Oombawka Design Crochet and The Stitchin’ Mommy for the 2025 Dishcloth of the Month Crochet Along with the easy crochet washcloth pattern for the Easy Scrub Washcloth. I used the popular lemon peel stitch (also known as the pebble stitch) for the center which is crocheted as a mitered square.

I’m thrilled to join my friends at Oombawka Design Crochet and The Stitchin’ Mommy’s for the annual Dishcloth of the Month Crochet Along (get the details here on Oombawka Design Crochet and here on The Stitchin’ Mommy). Rhondda and Amy have invited guest designers, so each month you get 3 free dishcloth or washcloth patterns. Whether you like to use handmade dishcloths to clean dishes more sustainably, or handmade washcloths to gently exfoliate your skin, this is a CAL for you!

For my contribution, I made an easy crochet washcloth using one of my favorite stitch patterns (the lemon peel stitch, also known as the pebble stitch) and one of my favorite methods for increasing (the mitered square). In the picture below, you can see the line through the center (between the bars of soap and running from top point to bottom point) made with the increases up the middle of the mitered square.

The washcloth ends with a simple edging and border in the round, which add hanging loops in all four corners to hang your version on your shower organizer.
