When I was invited to participate in Design Create Repeat’s One Skein Wonder Blog Hop, I knew I was going to crochet a scarf or a shawl. It’s no big feat to make a one skein hat, and I was up for the challenge! I didn’t want TOO much of a challenge, though, so I asked Lion Brand to send me a skein of Scarfie yarn because it has generous yardage.

I decided to make a triangle scarf crochet pattern because (as you know if you’ve been reading my blog for a while), I like to crochet triangle scarves and shawls from side to side. When these projects are one-skein wonders, it’s even more fun because you don’t have a bunch of ends to weave in. If you feel the same way, you’ll love the Fro Yo Triangle Scarf!

(You may also love the Fire and Ice Shawl, another one-skein wonder in Lion Brand Shawl in a Ball. It just happens to be my most popular pattern of all time.)

Ok, so about the Fro Yo Triangle Scarf! It’s an intermediate pattern not because the stitches are overly complex but because the pattern requires a little more brain power. Let’s just say you probably do not want to multi-task while you’re making this triangle scarf crochet pattern.

But, it’s so pretty that I think it’s all worth it. Plus, you can easily adjust the pattern to your preferred size, making it longer or shorter or even using a thicker or thinner yarn for a chunkier or lacier look. And, if you’re using Lion Brand Scarfie, you don’t have to worry about the colorwork because the yarn will do it for you.
