Goodbye 2020, What’s Coming in 2021!

Happy New Year! Thank you so much for your support during 2020. It was certainly a year for the record books. I’m looking forward to a fresh start in 2021, and wish you and your loved ones the best for a happy, healthy, and creative 2021! Looking Back on 2020

Wow, what a year! I don’t know about you, but I’m not sad to see 2020 leave. It’s hard to believe that this is the year that I earned a doctorate (!), worked exclusively from home (both for my full-time job and for Underground Crafter) for ten months, and all else that has happened in the world. One thing that kept me anchored was the Stitch Adventure Blanket mystery crochet along. Knowing that I’d have to share a new stitch every week (even when I remade most of the blanket after stopping collaboration with the original yarn company I was working with) was a great routine in a wacky year. But, I also learned that for 2021, I’ll be needing a little break at the beginning and end of the year!

Plans for 2021

One of the things most readers love about Underground Crafter is all the make alongs, so I’m going to keep those coming in 2021. Here’s what I have planned so far!

• Another mystery blanket crochet along! This one will kick off on Friday, January 15, 2021 with the supply list posted on Friday, January 8, 2021.
• Five multi-designer crochet alongs with the CAL Central Crochet Facebook group, starting with the Cozy at Home CAL that kicks off on Monday, January 11, 2021.
• Three multi-designer knit alongs with the KAL Corner Knitting Facebook group, starting with the Hat KAL that kicks off on Wednesday, January 6, 2021.
• A year-long, multi-designer sew along that I’m co-hosting with my dear friend, Mary Beth from Hooked for Life. The Baby Sew Along will kick off on Thursday, January 14, 2021.

There will be plenty more blog hops and make alongs to come, but some have to stay secret for now.
