Beatriz Crochet Beret Pattern

Beatriz is a crochet beret pattern with a built-in faux pompom and a stretchy ribbed band. This pattern was originally released in the Teen/Adult Small size in three parts as the ninth Weekend Mystery Crochet Along with Underground Crafter. The post has since been updated to include three additional child and adult sizes.

I have a fondness for crochet beret patterns. One of my favorite pictures of myself as a child is in a beret that my grandmother crocheted for me! While I don’t wear too many hats in general (my hair suffers from a brutal case of hat head whenever it is covered), I do love the look of a nice beret. If you feel the same, you’ll love the Beatriz!

The Beatriz crochet beret pattern has a bit of slouch and a stretchy band so you can style it several ways. I used King Cole Cosy Love Aran yarn for my version. It’s a delightfully soft acrylic yarn that is self-striping. Cosy Love Aran added just enough color for me without all the work of weaving in extra ends. You can find Cosy Love Aran at your local yarn shop or online at LoveCrafts or Wool Warehouse UK.
