Updated 7/3/2024

Sarabeth is the fifth floral granny square in the Welcoming Blanket, a mystery crochet along for a 40″ x 40″ throw blanket made up of nine 12” floral granny square patterns with borders. The Sarabeth pattern has a 5-petal flower at the center which is inspired by large flower in the Flirty Flowers Hat pattern by Frauke Kiedaisch.

Finished Size

  • 12” (30.5 cm) square.

Materials for the Welcoming Blanket

  • Caron One Pound (available at Mary Maxim | Amazon) yarn (100% acrylic, 16 oz/454 g/812 yd/742 m) – 1 skein each in 02005 Sun Yellow (CA), 10517 Rose (CB), and 10620 Grass Green (CC), or approximately 812 yd/742 m in each of 3 medium weight yarns.
    • The Sarabeth Floral Granny Square uses approximately 80 yd (73 m) in CA, 90 yd (82.5 m) in CB, and 40 yd (36.5 m) in CC in any medium weight yarn.
  • Clover Amour (available at WeCrochet | Amazon) US Size J-10/6 mm crochet hook, or size needed to obtain gauge.
  • Yarn needle.

Gauge

  • Motif = 12” (30.5 cm) square. Exact gauge is not critical for this project.
