Scroll down for Abi, an easy knit scarf pattern. I’ve mentioned before that I love easy, “mindless” knits. These projects are leisurely to execute, but they also allow the yarn to truly shine because of simple stitches. I love the way the colors fade gently into each other in Cascade Cantata Hand Paints, and the tube shape is light and airy. For the Abi Scarf, I really wanted to highlight those aspects of the yarn.

I decided to start with a shape similar to the Laverna Shawlette, but instead of color blocking I made one section with garter stitch and the other with stockinette stitch. I love the finished look!

- st(s) – stitch(es)

Pattern Notes
- VeryPink Knits has a helpful video tutorial for binding off purlwise here.
- Choose a larger needle than you typically use for medium weight yarn for this pattern. If you have difficulty getting your stockinette section to match the width of your garter section, adjust to a larger needle size for that section. The finished scarf should be flexible and airy, not stiff and dense.
- You can find helpful explanations and videos for blocking here.
