Festive Holiday Long Scarf Crochet Pattern

I’m sharing a long scarf crochet pattern in a festive holiday yarn. The Festive Long Scarf makes a great gift, a project to donate to charity, or something you can wear yourself to get into the holiday spirit!

A few months ago, the nice folks at Herrschners sent me several yarns, including Worsted 8 Celebrate Sparkle. This multicolor sparkle yarn is surprisingly soft. I used a small amount of it for the hat, scarf, and sweater for the Christmas Bear pattern and I was eager to dive into the rest of the skein. Since there is a generous 489 yards (448 meters), I thought it would make a great scarf.

I made the sample for this long scarf crochet pattern during an extended Amtrak ride. I really enjoyed watching the scarf come to life as each color change emerged from the skein.

The stitch combinations are interesting enough for those of you that need a little variety, but I’ve also included video tutorials for the special stitches if you’re a beginner.

This post is part of the third annual Countdown to Christmas I’m sharing with folks signed up for the Crochet Along updates and the Underground Crafter newsletter.
