2023 Softie Crochet Along

The Softie Crochet Along is the second crochet along of 2023 hosted in the CAL Central Facebook and Ravelry groups. This is also our sixth annual Softie CAL. Fifteen of your favorite crochet designers will bring you free crochet patterns for adorable and cuddly softies. Join us to make fun crochet projects, chat with other crocheters, and enter to win one of the prizes we have in our giveaway.

How the 2023 Softie Crochet Along Works

Every Monday from March 20 to June 26, 2023, we’ll share a free crochet pattern for a softie. You can make these softies to keep, for gifts, or to donate to charity while chatting with other crocheters in our groups and sharing your projects to win giveaway prizes!

We’ve partnered with babé crochet co., GlassEyesOnline, KnitPal, Knitter’s Relief Balm, and Lion Brand to bring you some great prizes in our end-of-CAL giveaway. Don’t forget to enter the giveaway at the bottom of this post by Sunday, July 2, 2023 at 11:59 p.m. Eastern.

How To Join the 2023 Softie CAL

  • Sign up for Crochet Along updates and the Underground Crafter newsletter to get regular updates, including an update as each CAL pattern is released. When you sign up, you’ll also get access to my subscriber vault which includes exclusive free PDF patterns, a coupon code for your choice of any crochet or knitting pattern or ebook from my Ravelry shop, and coupon codes from other indie designers and crafts businesses. 
  • You can join in by crocheting the patterns as you have time.
  • Share your progress and post pictures of your finished projects. Tag your projects and posts #CALCentralCrochet on all social media. 
  • If you’d like to chat with other crocheters, join the CAL Central Facebook group or visit this thread in the CAL Central Ravelry group.
  • By the end of the CAL, you’ll have up to 15 awesome softies to cuddle with!

  • This is the end-of-CAL giveaway for the 2023 Softie Crochet Along. The Crochet Along is hosted by CAL Central and the giveaway is organized by Underground Crafter.
