Happy New Year! Thank you so much for your support throughout 2023, a year filled with lots of changes at Underground Crafter. Looking Back on 2023
Here are some highlights from 2023.
- I added 39 free crochet pattern designs to the blog.
- I was able to collaborate with three fabulous guest contributors to bring patterns and guest posts to you.
- Lavendar Shawl Wrap, Indigo Plant Holder, and Terra Square Bag by SandraStitches,
- Cuffed Hat and Mittens by Lasse L. Matberg, and
- Breakfast in Bed Sweater by Christine Boggis.
- I hosted the fourth annual blanket crochet along (the Mélange Blanket Mystery CAL), the second annual Giftstravaganza Blog Hop, the fifth annual Christmas in July Make Along, the International Crochet Month Blog Hop, and two Weekend Mystery Crochet Alongs.
- I coordinated and hosted five multi-designer crochet alongs with CAL Central Crochet.
- I joined in 13 more blog hops and make alongs hosted by other bloggers and yarn company friends.
- I organized the Countdown to Christmas, where I shared a coupon code for daily free PDF patterns with subscribers of the Crochet Along Updates list from December 2-24, 2023.
- I continued to share crochet for charity posts by sharing two charity spotlight patterns and publishing the Ultimate Guide to Crocheting for Charity for Beginners.
- I moved to Vermont, where it is (almost always) sweater weather.
Plans for 2024
If you’re like most readers of Underground Crafter, you love make alongs. There are plenty scheduled for 2024. Here’s a sneak peek of the first few!
- A brand new multi-designer CAL, the Gift to Myself Crochet Along, starts tomorrow!
- The first Weekend Mystery Crochet Along of 2024 is scheduled for Friday, Saturday, and Sunday, January 5-7, 2024. The first pattern has a Valentine’s/Galentine’s Day vibe.
- Five multi-designer crochet alongs with the CAL Central Crochet Facebook group, starting with the Cozy at Home CAL that kicks off on Monday, January 8, 2024.
- Continuing the charity spotlight series to highlight organizations that accept handmade donations and to share new free crochet patterns designed to meet their donation guidelines. I’ll also be updating older posts since some organizations are no longer accepting donations.
