I love collaborating with Oombawka Design Crochet and The Stitchin’ Mommy, so I was delighed to be invited to join the Washcloth of the Month Club Crochet Along (get the details here on Oombawka Design Crochet and here on The Stitchin’ Mommy). Rhondda and Amy have invited 12 guest designers, so each month you get 3 free washcloth patterns. Whether you like to make scarves to use, gift, or donate, this is the perfect CAL for you!

For my contribution to this month’s CAL, I used my favorite stitch for washcloths and scrubbies, the crochet basketweave made with front and back post double crochet. It has a great texture for gentle exfoliation.

I used King Cole Cottonsoft DK, a luxuriously soft 100% cotton yarn, for my version. Cottonsoft DK is available from your local yarn shop or online at LoveCrafts | Annie’s | Wool Warehouse UK. Once you try Cottonsoft DK, you might get hooked, so you’ll want to check out my pattern for the Scrub-A-Doodle-Do Washcloth, the Blue Tinted Set with coasters and potholders, and Sunshine Coasters (which is available exclusively to newsletter subscribers).

Don’t forget to visit Oombawka Design Crochet to get Rhondda’s April pattern for the Back Crossed Half Double Crochet Washcloth, and The Stitchin’ Mommy to get Amy’s April pattern for the Floret Stitch Washcloth. You can grab the PDF version of all three patterns using the coupon codes listed on the pattern pages through 11:59pm Eastern on April 15, 2024.
