Goodbye 2024 and Welcome To 2025!

Happy New Year! Thank you for your support in 2024 and I’m sending my best wishes to you and your loved ones for a happy, healthy, and inspired 2025! If you’d like to know what’s coming up on Underground Crafter in 2025, read on for details.

Looking Back on 2024

Here are some highlights from 2024.

• I added 69 free crochet pattern designs and two free knitting pattern designs to the blog.
• I published 45 videos including 19 shorts on the Underground Crafter YouTube channel.
• I was able to collaborate with six fabulous guest contributors to bring patterns and guest posts to you.
  • Garrick the Dragon, a crochet pattern by DearJackiStitchery,
  • Opal the Octopus, a crochet pattern by Crafting in Glory,
  • Messenger Bag, a sewing pattern by Janet Goddard,
  • Savannah Dessert, a crochet pattern by Lullaby Lodge,
  • Molten, a knitting pattern by Christine Boggis, and
  • Adrian, a knitting pattern by Emilee Reynolds.
• I hosted the fifth annual blanket crochet along (the Welcoming Blanket Mystery CAL), the third annual Giftstravaganza Blog Hop, the sixth annual Christmas in July Make Along, the second annual International Crochet Month Blog Hop, the Gift to Myself Crochet Along, and 10 Weekend Mystery Crochet Alongs.
• I coordinated and hosted five multi-designer crochet alongs with CAL Central Crochet.
• I joined in 21 more blog hops and make alongs hosted by other bloggers and yarn company friends.
• I organized the second annual Countdown to Christmas, where I shared a coupon code for daily free PDF patterns with subscribers of the Crochet Along Updates list from December 4-24, 2023.
• I continued to share crochet for charity posts by sharing six charity spotlight patterns.

Plans for 2025

If you’re like most readers of Underground Crafter, you love make alongs. There are plenty scheduled for 2025. Here’s a sneak peek of the first few!

• The second annual Gift to Myself Crochet Along starts tomorrow! This year’s version includes 23 free patterns from your favorite designers.
• The first Weekend Mystery Crochet Along of 2025 is scheduled for Friday, Saturday, and Sunday, January 3-5, 2025. The first pattern has a winter accessory or Valentine’s/Galentine’s Day vibe.
• The Winter Wonderland CAL, which kicks off on Monday, January 6, 2025, will be the first of this year’s four multi-designer crochet alongs with the CAL Central Crochet Facebook group.
• Pia from Stitches n Scraps and I will be starting a brand-new year-long hat and scarf knit along! We’ll be sharing the supply list on January 10, 2025.
